Smooth Parametric Landscape Social Hub

Back when the Museum of Tomorrow was just built, it was common to see the kids of the city center jumping on the bay. This context was the starting point to an intervention of movement that could enhance the dialog between the water and the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The first attempts tried to achieve a more literal wave shaped pod. Eventually the design’s changed to two different approaches:

  • a small pier alluding water splashing back to the pavement enabling the user to access pods.
  • a family of pods reconnecting the user with the water and the environment.
